Money transfer fee calculator
Estimate the recipient amount after transfer fees and compare a quoted exchange rate with a reference rate you enter.
Your inputs
Your estimate
Rates are entered by you. Fees are deducted from the total budget. No payment is sent and no live provider quote is fetched.
How this calculation works
Fees = fixed fee + send budget × fee percentage. Recipient amount = (send budget − fees) × quoted rate. Effective rate = recipient amount ÷ send budget.

When to use this calculator
A low transfer fee does not necessarily mean a better final exchange outcome. Compare the amount reaching the recipient after both explicit fees and the quoted exchange rate.
Choosing the inputs
This tool treats the send amount as a total budget: fixed and percentage fees are deducted before conversion. Enter both rates in destination units per one source unit, using the same currency pair and time for a fair comparison.
Worked example
A 1,000 budget with a fixed fee of 5, a 1% fee and a quote of 0.80 leaves 985 for conversion and 788 in destination currency. A fee-free reference rate of 0.82 would produce 820, so the illustrated shortfall is 32.
